Acceptance: The Great Liberation

People usually install very heavy loads on our way of seeing life. Let us see the simple and easy fact to accept, can free us from a great burden that is always with us and it not allow us enjoy life in a light and happy.

Imagine a beautiful road through the countryside, with beautiful green lawns and flowery, tall trees on either side and friendly animals, maybe a quiet lake on our left and majestic snow-capped mountains to our front, topped by a white cottony clouds. That way you have displayed is your life, and as in any way there are potholes and obstacles to overcome, it is quite normal, but they should not overshadow the beauty of this very path anyway let's go.

Think about what you prefer, just standing there looking and cursing a large trunk that hinders us over, or reach it, figure out the best way to get around it and keep walking enjoying the beautiful landscape that surrounds us? I guess your answer was the latter. Everyone to reflect on this question choose the second option, yet many people who want to continue walking but think the obstacle they have right now on their way is too big and difficult to overcome. That's an illusion, which has a lot to see fear, discussed in the previous post.

The first and important step we must take to this "great" trunk on the way, is to accept. Denying the existence of the obstacle, just cause you can not continue our journey, as we stumble again and again, preventing us from moving forward, as well as keep our attention focused on that "something" that makes us fall, depriving us of the beauty we wrapped around us. The fact that this trunk support is ahead, put light on it and see what it really is not as bulky and difficult to overcome as it seemed, while we perceive that the path continues behind the obstacle and the beauty of the landscape behind it is even higher than we were accustomed.

This practice can be very helpful for people who do not practice meditation, because the mere fact of meditation normally would give us the same results. When we feel that an event in our lives we have been beaten severely, leaving us unable to continue, sinking deep, a way that will help us much to accept is to pause your life. Stop, take one day of rest and do nothing at all, do not let the mind follow distracting yourself with endless activities for you can not see clearly the nature of this "problem". You feel like you're totally depressed, your mind tells you that you have nothing to do, you're finished , do just that: nothing. Sit or lie down, stares into space, maybe even listen to your mind reminding you how bad you are and how impossible it is to cross this barrier, continue to do nothing at all, you can spend hours thereby. Will come a time that absolutely will not think nothing, which is often referred to as stay enthralled, stunned and delighted. Just then you are totally unrelated to your material mind, fear disappears, this is the state that meditation helps us to achieve. This is the moment in which a powerful and pleasant peace comes over you, making you feel a deep relief. You just accept that this setback has occurred in your life and you're going to overcome, you do not see that the road trunk as great, maybe even just skip it and now only see the beauty of the path followed in front of you.

The acceptance of events that occur in our lives is as important as living without fear. We have seen that detach ourselves from our minds and see their incessant bombardment of thoughts without being identified with them is a very powerful and effective way to bring the light of love on the darkness of the fears that our mind wants to impose. Learn to accept both the good and less good in life is essential to tour our beautiful way of life, enjoying the scenery and feeling happiness and love in every step we take.
